Architecture and Design

Portraying jet-black color with patches of terracotta brickwork, the mosque was oddly named due to its 15 gilded domes, which do not exist any more. Constructed with brick, all the 4 walls of this rectangular mosque are veneered internally and externally with granite stones and strengthened from outside with polygonal towers. An earthquake in 1897 had destroyed some of the stone works from the west wall in the southern side. The east walls consist 5 arched doorways and corresponding to that there are 5 semi-circular mihrabs placed within the west walls. There are another 3 arched doors located in the south and the north walls.
