Located in Islamabad, the Pakistan National Monument is a representation of the four provinces and three territories of the nation. Designed by the famous architect, Arif Masood, this blooming flower shaped structure reflects the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
The four prime petals consisting the shape of the building, represent the four provinces, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhunkhwa, Sindh and Punjab.

The three small petals in its structure embodies the three territories of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
Pakistan National Monument Interiors
The mural decorated inner walls of the monument represent exquisite Islamic architectural beauty. Encircled with stars,the metallic crescent inside the structure contains the the poetry of Allamah Iqbal, and quotes of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.
Surrounded by a water body, the central complex is shaped as a five pointed star.
The monument is a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in the Tehrik-e-Pakistan or Pakistan Movement. From air, the structure reflects the shape of a moon and a star, a manifestation of the Pakistani flag.
